I'm Bloggin' Today: A Sit-Down with Peggy Jaeger
Updated: May 17, 2018
Good Morning Peggy, thanks for sitting down with me today. I am so excited to discuss your new release, but if I'm not mistaken this is the third installment in a series? I am sure everyone would love to hear more about the series.
HI Andi, and yes! Can't Stand The Heat is the 3rd book in my Will Cook For Love Series and tells the story of Kandy Laine's (COOKING WITH KANDY) cousin and TV producer, Stacy Peters.
Here is a little snip-it about the book:
Stacy is all set to helm her own show for the network, but the head of programing wants her to do one favor for him before he greenlight's her show idea: Help executive produce a new network food competition called BEEF BATTLES, directed by the notoriously difficult Dominick Stamp. Stamp has a rep for eating executive producers and anyone who interferes in his shows for a snack. But Stacy wants her own show badly enough that she agrees to be the show's new EP. These two are opposites in every sense of the word, but you know what they say about opposites and attraction!
Here is a little more about the characters:
With three successful TV series under her belt, including her cousin Kandy’s, executive producer Stacy Peters is ready to helm her own show. But to make that happen, she has to do her network boss one favor first—spend two months on a ranch in Montana wrangling the notoriously difficult director of Beef Battles. Apparently, he eats producers for breakfast. Yet all Stacy can think when she meets the lean, rugged man is how hungry he makes her . . .
Dominic Stamp—Nikko to his very few friends—has had enough interference from TV newbies. And when Stacy climbs out of the car in Montana, he’s not convinced she’s even old enough to drive, much less produce his show. But he can’t deny that the long-legged blonde with the stubborn will and the dazzling smile whets his appetite. And as Stacy proves her talent with the crew and the budget alike, Nikko vows to prove to her that love is on the menu for both of them.

Yes, all the stops are a different discussion of writing, my writing, and all things romance. There is a Rafflecopter prize at every site you can click on for a chance at a $50 amazon GC card at the end of the tour.
Some great advice and a chance at an Amazon Gift Card, win-win! Besides writing successful contemporary romances I know you have a popular blog. Could you tell us more about your blog?
My blog, peggyjaeger.com, came about when I got my first book published. I knew -and still know nothing- tech related and the publisher said every author needs a website/blog to promote their work. But I didn't only want to write a blog about "BUY MY BOOK!" because that would turn me off as a reader, and I knew it would turn others off as well, sooooo......I decided to use my powers for good ( hee hee) I blog not only about my writing, but I introduce other writers to my readers as well. I post book reviews of books I've read and liked ( not bad reviews - because I don't need that kind of negativity in my life. If I don' t ilke a book, I don't mention it.I also post about my upcoming releases or books I'm currently writing on. I follow and appear on 2 national webblogs - MFRWauthors 52 week blog which posts every Friday, and Long and Short Reviews, SATURDAY SEVEN, which posts every Saturday,
What are your favorite kinds of posts to write and read?
Having a blog for a writer is a great way of gathering new readers, imparting info, and allowing the readers to really get to know you as a person and a writer. Two things i never discuss on my blog? Religion and Politics. 'Nuff said.
I couldn't agree more! I want to inspire people and get to know readers, not light a match and enflame them. One of the things you'll find out about Peggy when reading her Blog is what a funny lady she is. I know you impart this humor in your books as well. What other books to you have in your repertoire?
Well, thanks for that!! I find that you can pretty much change any bad situation if you can find the humor somewhere in the drama. I've always said if a writer makes me cry my eyes out on one page and then brings me to uncontrollable belly laughs on the other, they will have me as a reader for life!
My MacQuire women series doesn't have any of the humor than my San Valentino series has. All are romances at heart, but there's just something so comical about the San Valentino's and the wacky way they all care about one another, that just makes the humor bleed through each scene. I'm 100% Irish american but was raised in a Sicilian household because of my stepfather's family, so when I say I know all about dramatic, crazy, Italians, believe it!
I haven't read the San Valentino series yet; I will definitely be looking for them. I loved Cooking with Kandy (got a signed copy and everything ) in your Will Cook for Love series and am very much looking forward to Can't Stand the Heat! Remember everyone April 3rd is the day!! Good luck with your release and thank you so much for taking the time to be with me today. I hope you and your family have a restful and Happy Easter!
Andi - that same to you and thank you sososososo much for talking with me today. Be well and keep writing.
